Project Grants
Awesome Foundation
“The Foundation distributes a series of monthly $1,000 grants to projects and their creators. The money is given upfront in cash/check by groups of ten or so self-organizing ‘micro-trustees,’ who form autonomous chapters around geographic areas or topics of interests. The Foundation provides these grants with no strings attached and claims no ownership over the projects it supports.”

Travel Grants
STEP Beyond Travel Grant funds emerging artists and cultural workers to explore and to exchange views, skills and inspiration.
Through our STEP Beyond Travel Grants programme, ECF has been supporting all kinds of cross-border creativity over the past ten years – including music, visual art, theatre, dance, film, documentary, multimedia, design, photography, fashion and cultural capacity building.
STEP Beyond Travel Grants are designed for up-and-coming artists and cultural workers to travel between EU countries and countries bordering the EU. Priority is given to individuals who are under 35 years old and/or who are in the first 10 years of their career. The STEP Beyond funding scheme emerged from previous mobility grant programmes such as Erasmus and APEXchanges.
Over the last ten years, ECF has supported more than 1,700 projects across 59 countries and we remain committed to facilitating cross-border exchange for cultural professionals through this grant scheme.

Rolling application deadline – apply at any time. Selection process takes up to one month.
