Here is some useful information if you are interested in travelling to Latvia for the conference.Latvia will be the EU Capital of Culture in 2014. The conference will be taking place during Jani (Midsummers) one of the biggest national holidays in Latvia. Be ready to be immersed in Latvian culture!

Pedvale:
Camping: 5 –7 $ per night
Restaurant includes indoor/outdoor seating on picnic tables. Optional Continental breakfast in Pedvale for all. Two big meals per day for everyone in Pedvale. One dish with meat & one vegetarian. There is enough space in Pedvale to create enough eating place for all participants.
15 minute walk from Pedvale
Cultural center: hallway exhibition space, large room and smaller rooms for panels
High school: auditorium for 300, classrooms can be used for panels, kitchen can be used for cooking, catering – kitchen and dining facilities
Hostel Hospital Youth Hostel: $8 – 20 / night
(5 km direct bus trip from Pedvale)
Nice resort of cabins with self-catered kitchens: stove, fridge, some have private saunas, 2-3 bedrooms with couch, accommodates as many as many as 300 people. 70-100$/night. Other rooms with cheaper communal facilities are available.
The local pub, has rooms available with good food and atmosphere.
